Indirect Air Carrier (IAC)
As a licensed Indirect Air Carrier (IAC), RLD is authorized to accept cargo from shippers and tender it to airlines for transport. This designation allows us to provide air freight services without the limitations of going through a retail shipping counter. We receive your cargo at our North Canton facility, consolidate it with other shipments going in the same direction (groupage), and transport it to Akron-Canton Airport for loading onto the aircraft.
This service is particularly valuable for businesses that need to ship cargo quickly but do not have the volume to justify a direct airline contract. By consolidating multiple shipments, we provide competitive rates and the convenience of door-to-airport service from our facility.
American Airlines Cargo Booking Agency
RLD is an authorized American Airlines Cargo booking agency, giving our clients access to American Airlines' extensive cargo network at competitive rates. Located adjacent to Akron-Canton Airport, we provide seamless drayage services — transporting your cargo from our facility to the airport and loading it into the belly of the aircraft. This eliminates the need for you to transport your own bulk cargo by land providing a more convenient and often more cost-effective solution for time-sensitive shipments.

Power Only Transportation
RLD operates a power-only transportation division, providing tractor power to pull trailers that belong to other carriers or shippers. We have partnered with JB Hunt to supplement our power-only operations, allowing us to drop and hook JB Hunt trailers and deliver them to their destinations. This service is ideal for businesses that have trailers but need reliable tractor power to move them.
We also pull reefer trailers for Prime and other carriers, providing refrigerated transport capabilities for temperature-sensitive cargo. Our power-only division is a cost-effective solution for businesses that need to outsource their transportation without giving up control of their trailers or cargo.

Exhibit & Trade Show Services
Trade shows and exhibits require precise logistics coordination, careful handling of display materials, and reliable setup and teardown services. RLD provides comprehensive trade show logistics, from transporting your exhibit materials to the venue to setting up your display and tearing it down after the event. We store your exhibit materials at our secure North Canton facility between events, providing a complete end-to-end solution.
We have provided exhibit and trade show services for EJ Thomas Hall in downtown Akron, managing the transport, setup, and teardown of large exhibit installations. We also provide storage in transit for businesses that need to hold their trade show materials between events.
Museum & Fine Art Moving
Fine art, museum pieces, and high-value collectibles require the most careful handling, custom crating, and climate-controlled transport. Our team has the expertise and equipment to safely transport irreplaceable pieces, from $20,000 tapestry rugs for interior decorators to museum-quality sculptures and paintings. RLD has provided entertainment transportation services for Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees, managing the complete setup of custom furniture and décor at Gervase Vineyard for Hall of Fame events. We transport band equipment, sports team gear, and venue furnishings to arenas and event spaces throughout the region.
We also provide storage in transit for event materials, holding furniture and equipment at our facility during the event and returning it to the venue or original location upon completion. This service is ideal for recurring events that require consistent, reliable logistics support.

Containerized Shipping
Containerized shipping — also known as crate-and-freight — is a cost-effective alternative to traditional moving for shipments that do not fill an entire truck. We load your belongings into standardized containers at our North Canton facility, which are then transported by truck to their destination. For overseas shipments, containers are transported to the port and loaded onto ocean vessels.
We recently used this system to move 8,000 pounds of furniture from Youngstown, Ohio to Las Vegas, Nevada in eight crates — demonstrating the cost efficiency and reliability of containerized shipping for large shipments. We have agents across the United States who accept and deliver containerized shipments, providing a comprehensive solution for any domestic destination.
Groupage Consolidation
Groupage is the practice of consolidating multiple smaller shipments going in the same direction into a single container or truck, allowing each shipper to pay only for the space their cargo occupies. RLD is one of the few companies in Northeast Ohio offering groupage services. We receive parcels and shipments at our facility, group them with other cargo going to the same destination, and ship them together — providing significant cost savings compared to shipping each piece individually.
